Chadderton, Oldham

Oldham Cancer Aid Network (CAN): This informal group meets on the first, third and fifth Tuesday of each month between 4pm and 6.15pm at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane, Chadderton, Oldham. It is a general cancer group with myeloma patients attending. The group provides information, advice, counselling, support, complementary therapy information, relaxation, refreshments, the chance to meet others and benefits advice. London

Royal Free Hospital Support Group, London: This is a support group which meets once a month at the Royal Free Hospital, London and is for patients, families and friends with a haematological illness (includes myeloma, amyloid, leukaemia etc). Meetings are once a month, telephone support is also available. Please contact: Jane Ellis on 0207 794 0500 Ext. 6859. This group is only available to those attending the Royal Free Hospital.

Manchester

CHAMPS (Christie Hospital Amyloid & Myeloma Patient Support): Group based at the Christie Hospital in Manchester. Contact Sue Blair (Myeloma Support Nurse) on 0161 446 8167.

Perth Area

An informal group lead by patients and carers which meets every two months in Perth Baptist Church for a mixture of guest speakers and general discussion. Family members and friends are more than welcome! Contact John or Mary Kenney by email or on 01738 441 101.

Very active and well attended group. Regular meetings, social events, fundraising and talks. This group also circulate a newsletter and have the support of the Royal Southampton Hospital.
