· Tumor specific chromosomal aberrations in microvessel
endothelial cells
YES: Myeloma and other hematological malignancies;
malignant melanoma
NO: Breast, renal, bone & brain tumors
· Endothelial cells with tumor specific aberrations can be
propagated in vitro
· These results point to a novel aspect of tumor angiogenesis
