 The IMF is often asked by patients if we know of support groups in their areas where they can meet others dealing with myeloma. There is a worldwide network of more than 150 myeloma support groups that hold regular meetings for members of the myeloma community.
Although the IMF does not sponsor these groups, we support their efforts and conduct annual summits for myeloma support group leaders. We encourage you to seek them out. Use the menu below for a list of the groups that we are aware of in your area.

| The Brooklyn Multiple Myeloma Networking Group, will have its inaugural meeting on May 16, 2013. This group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Maimonides Cancer Center, 6300 8th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11220. | This group, founded in 1995, meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00-8:00 PM at Mount Sinai Medical Center, 1425 Madison Avenue, between 98th and 99th Streets, Room 4-82 (4th floor, Transplant Conference Room). For those driving, there is a public parking lot on 99th Street, between Park and Madison. Mount Sinai has arranged a special rate of $5 for people attending the group. | A comprehensive education and support group, founded in 1995 is offered at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center for multiple myeloma patients and caregivers. Facilitated by Andrea Nudelman, LMSW, the group meets monthly starting December 20th, 2012 from 5-7 PM on Thursday evenings.
