I was diagnosed with MM Jan 2009 at the age of 37. I have spent alot of time thinking about what I may have been exposed to. The only thing I can think of is my time in the Army (Tank Crewman A1 Abrahms) from 90 to 93. I remember being told of all the cancer causing agents in and on the tank. Has there been anyone who has heard of other soldiers from that era developing MM at a young age?
Hello, from the IMF Hotline. Please give us a call and one of the coordinators can share resources and look for any information that may be available. The number is 800 452-2873. Take care.
I am a VN Vet. In 2010 I was diagnosed with MGUS. Since 2010, my WBC is up to 9.5, calcium is up to 9.7, albumin is at 4.6 and B2M is at 2.62. I recently developed an Mspike of .3 and my CD4 to CD8 ratio is increased. My Onc uses DSS staging says not to worry. According to ISS staging, I am at Stage 1. I know I'm eliegble for VA benefits but without a firm diagnosis, what good is it to go over to see them. I am in South West Fl and there is only one Onc "Factory" here. Next one is 100 + miles away. as is the VA hospital. Any ideas ?
