Support Groups

The IMF is often asked by patients if we know of support groups in their areas where they can meet others dealing with myeloma. There is a worldwide network of more than 150 myeloma support groups that hold regular meetings for members of the myeloma community.

Although the IMF does not sponsor these groups, we support their efforts and conduct annual summits for myeloma support group leaders. We encourage you to seek them out. Use the menu below for a list of the groups that we are aware of in your area.

Canada : Prince Edward Island

Charlottetown

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month (except for July and August) beginning at 6:00 pm and ending by approximately 8:00 pm. The meeting consists of the sharing of information and ideas, and involves speakers, videotapes, and DVD presentations on current topics related to living with myeloma, and current and future treatments for the disease. Meetings are currently being held at 103 Keppoch Rd., Stratford.
Because weather and illness may alter meeting schedules, including the date and place, please contact the following to confirm attendance, particularly if this is your first meeting.
All individuals living with myeloma, their family and friends are welcome.
