Support Groups

The IMF is often asked by patients if we know of support groups in their areas where they can meet others dealing with myeloma. There is a worldwide network of more than 150 myeloma support groups that hold regular meetings for members of the myeloma community.

Although the IMF does not sponsor these groups, we support their efforts and conduct annual summits for myeloma support group leaders. We encourage you to seek them out. Use the menu below for a list of the groups that we are aware of in your area.

United States : Massachusetts

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Multiple Myeloma Patient & Caregiver Education and Discussion Group, founded in February, 2011, meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 5:30 -7:00 PM in Room 1620 of the Dana Building. Each meeting includes a presentation by a member of Dana-Farber's Multiple Myeloma medical team, followed by a discussion group for patients and caregivers. Parking is validated in the garage, and refreshments will be served. Registration is required. Greater Boston - Multiple Myeloma Networking Group - Facing Cancer Together
