Since my mother’s diagnosis three and a half years ago, one of the most informative and empathetic resources for our family, and myself personally, has been the multiple myeloma online support group listserv. Chris Hollyer, one of the more vocal and knowledgeable of the group, had a unique talent of making all of us feel that we knew him and he knew us. There were many times that he contacted me offline to answer a question or to give insight. I would not have known Mr. Hollyer, had I passed him on the street. He, like so many others that have passed, will always be remembered by many of us still involved in the group, as a crusader for the cause and for our loved ones. Beth Morgan is continuing his legacy and helping the rest of us to understand the disease and its treatments. The Chris Hollyer Research Fund has been established at the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF), and we hope to raise $40,000 toward the funding of a Brian D. Novis Research Grant in Chris’ name. By day, for the past 35 years, I have been and continue to be a teacher. My second graders are the light of my life. They give me one good laugh a day and have helped me to get through many challenging days. Since my own children have grown, and I realize that retirement is on the horizon, I have begun to prepare for my second career. In so doing, I had researched many companies and opportunities and found myself being impressed with Arbonne International products. For the past 8 months I have had much success and pleasure in selling the Arbonne products. Arbonne International is a direct sales company that has over 300 products, all of which are pure, safe and beneficial. Arbonne offers skin care, aromatherapy, color, health, nutrition, baby care, anti-aging, men, women and a special holiday line. The Arbonne products are naturally based.
