  • 10:45-11:40 Gene Expression Profiling - Dr. John Shaughnessy

  • 11:40 – 12:30 Lunch

  • 12:30- 1:20 Vertebroplasty and Balloon Kyphoplasty for multiple myeloma - Dr. Eren Erdem

  • 5 min stretch with PT

  • 1:25 – 2:10 Side Effect Management - Bonnie Jenkins, RN

  • 2:10 – 2:30 Speaker TBD - Nutrition

  • 2:30 - 3:00 Speaker TBD - Social Work (managing the ups and downs for patients and family)

  • 3:00 – 3:30 Wrap up

A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at The Peabody for those who would like to attend the symposium. The reservation code for those rooms is "UAMS Myeloma Institute." Special rates for attendees will be

  • Single or double: $124
  • Triple: $134
  • Quad: $144

These rates reflect a substantial discount off the standard room rates. These rooms will be held until October 30. After October 30, The Peabody will release any unused portion of the room block , but will continue to accept reservations based upon availability and will continue to honor the group rate.

You need to make reservations with The Peabody's corporate sales department at 501-399-8058. Ask for Sherrise Stephens and identify yourself as being part of the UAMS Myeloma Institute when doing so to get the special rates
