Diane Tanenbaum and Ap Veldhuizen would appreciate donations to the International Myeloma Foundation in lieu of gifts on the occasion of their upcoming marriage on 8 April. Ap’s brother, Rinus Veldhuizen, from Arnhem in the Netherlands, has been fighting multiple myeloma (also known simply as myeloma, plasma cell myeloma, or Kahler's disease) since 2001. Shortly after, Michael Brown, a British friend from London, was also diagnosed with myeloma.

Diane is American, Ap is Dutch-they have both been living in Belgium for many years and met there. She works for an international organization, and he is a patent attorney. Their relationship has strengthened through the years, culminating in their recent decision to tie the knot. They are using the occasion of their marriage to do what they can to help those suffering from this disease for which there is no cure as yet. With money comes research. Your donations to the International Myeloma Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
