Cities in 20 states declare March as Myeloma Awareness Month: Thank you Advocates! Three states, fifty cities and seven counties have declared March as Myeloma Awareness Month! From Anchorage, AK to Hoover, AL, and from Prospect, CT to Virginia Beach, VA, myeloma patients and caregivers have reached out to their elected officials to raise myeloma awareness. Many people found officials whose family members have myeloma; others found they were the first people to utter the words "multiple myeloma" to their local lawmakers. Proclamations, pictures and press releases continue to roll in, but we want to share the success to date with you. Click here to view our Facebook or Click here to view the full list

"Once you are aware of myeloma and how it touches the lives of the patients, how could I not get involved?" Read More

Rally for Medical Research The International Myeloma Foundation has partnered with approximately 100 organizations to hold a Rally for Medical Research on April 8th in Washington, DC. Organized by the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), it is anticipated that 15,000 people will be in attendance to raise awareness about the need to fund the National Institutes of Health and other government agencies that support research, spur innovation, and improve health for all patients. IMF will join thousands of advocates, survivors, researchers, clinicians, business leaders, and members of the public in support of funding for medical research. If you live in the DC Metro Area email Meghan Buzby to sign up to join the IMF Rally crew!
