Voting is important because our elected officials (at all levels) are supposed to work for us. Our legislators make the laws that we have to follow every day and that impact our lives from the moment we get up in the morning until we go to sleep at night. Our elected officials have important jobs to do and the good news is, you can have a voice in who gets to do them…if you go out and vote on Tuesday, November 2nd.

Policymakers work for the citizens. The ultimate job review you can give your public officials is by voting—either returning them to office or ending their service. For more information about elections in your area, visit the IMF Advocacy Action Center at www.advocacy.myeloma.org and click on the “Election and Candidates” tab. You will learn who is running for office in your state/district as well as finding out what is on the statewide ballot and your local polling place. Remember - voting is not only a right but also a responsibility.
