Advocates Across the US Unite as One Powerful Team

We are excited to announce the formation of the IMF National Action Team. For years we have been working with advocates from across the country on state and federal legislation. Our goal now is to unite all of our advocates to build a community that will foster education, action and empowerment. This new team will work together to strengthen the support for our federal legislation on oral chemotherapy parity, build strong grassroots networks in every state, and raise awareness of myeloma across the country.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
― Margaret Mead

At the IMF we know that to make a difference we must all come together and do what we can. With enough voices, we can improve the quality of life for myeloma patients by advocating for more research funding, insisting on quality health care, and educating the communities around us on this deadly disease. The Action Team will collect postcards in support of oral chemotherapy parity legislation, organize in-district meetings with federal and state legislators, and raise the visibility of multiple myeloma around the country.

Our first team call will be on Thursday January 24th at 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific. We will cover the goals for the year and discuss the role you can play during Myeloma Awareness Month. Join Today!

This team is for anyone committed to making a difference for all cancer patients. No matter your limitations, we will provide opportunities for everyone to make their voice heard.  You may join the kick off call on the 24th and then decide your level of commitment to the group.

To sign up for the call or join the team, email Aimee Martin, our Grassroots Coordinator today! If you have lingering questions you would like answered before the call, Aimee will be happy to answer via email or phone at 818-487-7455.

Our advocates are the backbone of the Advocacy Team at the IMF, so we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done and will do to make the world a better place for myeloma patients and their families.
