Watch the Nurse Leadership Board's Satellite Symposium

At the Oncology Nursing Society's 39th Annual Congress in Anaheim, California in May, the IMF's Nurse Leadership Board hosted a satellite symposium, which was attended by more than 600 nurses from across the country. The symposium, Case Studies in Multiple Myeloma: Best Practices for Nurses, used case studies to highlight best practices in managing myeloma patients at different stages of disease and through different types of treatment. Focus on Patient Perspective in Congressional Health Initiative
The US House of Representatives Energy & Commerce Committee introduced the 21st Century Cures Initiative this spring to "accelerate the pace of cures in America." This month, the initiative held a forum focused on incorporating the patient perspective into the drug review process. The IMF applauds these efforts. To ensure myeloma patients are represented in the regulatory process, the IMF regularly provides commentary and participates in FDA meetings, including an FDA Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee hearing that led to the approval of Kyprolis. Vote in Contest for Myeloma Marathoner
Two weeks after running his first marathon, Don Wright was diagnosed with myeloma. Nearly 11 years later, he is training for his 83rd marathon, aiming for 100. As he runs, Don raises awareness of myeloma and the IMF. Now we can support Don by voting daily in a contest for him to be featured on the cover of Runner's World magazine. If you'd like to share this on your own social media account, please include the hashtag #RWCoverContest. To vote, CLICK HERE.
