Study Examines Body Mass Index, Physical Activity and Risk of Multiple Myeloma
Findings from a newly published study designed to better understand the association of the risk of multiple myeloma with body mass index (BMI) and with physical activity at different ages suggest that maintaining a healthy body weight throughout life may reduce multiple myeloma risk. Risk of multiple myeloma was not associated with physical activity level at any age. The study, published in the "American Journal of Epidemiology," was sponsored by the AARP. ABSTRACT
