IMF and MMRF To Co-Sponsor ASH Symposium

A Continuing Medical Education symposium entitled “Multiple Myeloma: New Advances in Biology & Treatment” will be presented as part of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) 41st Annual Meeting. The symposium will be sponsored by The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF). The event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 1999, in New Orleans, LA. The program, co-chaired by Dr. Ken Anderson and Prof. Brian G.M. Durie, will include the following topics: molecular biology, mechanisms and treatment of bone disease, appropriate testing for diagnosis and monitoring, standard approach to treatment, the role of immunological therapies and the current role of high dose therapy.
