As you may know, this year marks a milestone for the IMF - we are celebrating a decade of support! "Dedicated to improving the quality of life of myeloma patients while working toward prevention and a cure" is our mission, and all of our programs, services and activities focus on achieving that goal. We never lose sight of who it is we serve - you, our members - patients and their families all over the world.
Our Tenth Anniversary Gala "Ribbon of Hope - Making a World of Difference", signifies our goal to reach myeloma patients around the world. It will take place on Friday, October 27, 2000 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York, and planning is in full swing. We are pleased to honor Charles Osgood of CBS Sunday Morning and The Osgood Files, in recognition of his support and help in raising myeloma awareness. Robin Leach, of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, has generously offered to act as our Master of Ceremonies. This spectacular evening will include a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction and some fantastic entertainment.
In addition to attending the event, IMFers can participate in several ways. You can help by selling Gala tickets ($300 each), sponsor packages ($5,000-$25,000), or Tribute Journal ads ($250-$15,000). We are also raffling an exciting prize - a 1982 Black 911SC Porsche Targa. Raffle tickets are $50 each and only 1,000 tickets have been printed. Don't miss this chance to drive away in a classic beauty.
We are very excited about this very special celebration, and welcome your participation!
