Dr. Hungria graduated as M. D. from the Santa Casa Medical School in São Paulo, Brazil in 1981. After training in Internal Medicine, she went on training in Hematology at the same institution.
She obtained her Master?s Degree in 1997 at the University of São Paulo and is currently finishing her Ph. D. at the same Organization.
She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Santa Casa Medical School, where she is also a staff Physician in the Hematology Section. In addition to this Dr. Hungria is one of the senior partners of the Clinica São Germano, a private Oncology Clinic located in São Paulo.
Dr. Hungria is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the International Myeloma Foundation. She is also a member of several prestigious societies in Brazil.
