| The IMF Earns 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator |

| Once again we are thrilled to announce that the IMF has earned a 4-star rating, the highest rating, from Charity Navigator! Only 9% of all charities have received consecutive 4-star ratings for three or more years. Charity Navigator is an independent organization with a team of analysts that rate non-profits based on how efficiently they use donor support, how well they sustain programs and services over time and their level of commitment to good governance, best practices and openness with information. | The IMF’s groundbreaking new Myeloma Training Course was created to introduce physicians around the globe to the latest thinking in myeloma diagnosis and treatment. In the first IMF “Master Class,” held last month, seven young physicians from China spent two weeks in Los Angeles, studying under the tutelage of American myeloma specialists led by Brian G.M. | September Advocates of the Month: The Postcard Rockettes |
| This month we honor Sue Bouzounis, Kim Marrelli, Teresa O'Connor, Karen Vorhies, and Shirley Belknap who all have done an amazing job collecting signed postcards for our Postcards for Parity Program. When advocates return their signed postcards, the IMF sends them in bulk to federal legislators in support of a bill (HR 2746) that would help patients by requiring private health insurance plans to cover oral chemotherapy no less favorably than IV or injected chemotherapy. According to Kim, "Helping out with the Postcards for Parity Program was a no brainer. This issue has the potential to affect all MM patients. To me, treating all cancer treatments equally is just plain common sense. When I explain the issue in these terms, people just naturally want to help.” READ MORE |
