| IMF’s New ‘Master Class’ Brings Myeloma Doctors Together to Share Expertise |

| The IMF said goodbye this month to the first graduates of the organization’s myeloma “Master Class.” The exciting new educational program, loosely structured around the Ten Steps to Better Care, is designed to help physicians around the globe learn about the newest thinking in myeloma diagnosis and treatment. Seven young physicians from different institutions in China spent two weeks in Los Angeles studying under the tutelage of American myeloma specialists. Brian G.M. | Two New Myeloma Trials Open for Enrollment |

| Two new Phase III myeloma studies are enrolling approximately 1,400 patients worldwide. The studies are designed to see whether the investigational drug elotuzumab in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone is more effective than lenalidomide in combination with dexamethasone alone. The “ELOQUENT 1” study is recruiting previously untreated patients who are not candidates for stem cell transplant. “ELOQUENT 2” is for patients with documented progression from their most recent line of therapy. Both studies are open label, which means both the study doctor and patient know which medications the patient is on. READ MORE |
