| Bone-Remodeling Protein May Offer Myeloma Target |

| Study results published in the August issue of the journal Blood found that myeloma cells show significantly increased levels of the bone-remodeling protein annexin A2 (ANXA2), which could suggest potential as a new therapeutic target. According to Dirk Hose, MD, of the University of Heidelberg in Germany, and colleagues, high ANXA2 expression predicted inferior event-free and overall survival in both cohorts of untreated multiple myeloma patients.
