Black Swan Research Initiative Progress Highlighted in IMF's Myeloma Today
The spring 2014 edition of the IMF's Myeloma Today is available online and filled with news from the global myeloma community. IMF Chairman Dr. Brian Durie provides a detailed report on the IMF-EuroFlow Workshop held this spring in Salamanca, Spain, where researchers were introduced to a lab testing technique that marks a key step for the Black Swan Research Initiative®. Ohio's Cancer Treatment Modernization Act Signed into Law
It was good news for Ohio residents this week as Gov. John Kasich signed SB 99, the Cancer Treatment Modernization Act, into law. The law requires that state-regulated health plans that provide coverage for intravenous (IV) and oral anticancer treatments not exceed $100 copayment or coinsurance for a 30-day supply of orally administered anticancer treatment. Ohio joins 33 other states and the District of Columbia in passing similar legislation. READ MORE
Fundraising Event: Onyx Team Bike Ride
Onyx Pharmaceuticals, an Amgen subsidiary, will host an employee bike ride to benefit the IMF in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Las Vegas on June 23rd.
