IMF's Robin Tuohy Receives the Brian Durie Humanitarian Award

Congratulations to IMF Senior Director of Support Groups Robin Tuohy, who recently won the Philadelphia Multiple Myeloma Networking Group's (PMMNG) Brian Durie Humanitarian Award. The award honors Robin for her support, service, and dedication, and recognizes her as a "beacon of strength" in the myeloma community. "Receiving this award is a humbling experience. As a 14-year myeloma caregiver and support group leader, I strive to share my experiences so that others may benefit and have key conversations with their healthcare team. I truly admire the leadership and strength of the Philadelphia Multiple Myeloma Networking Group and thank them for this honor that they have bestowed upon me. The inscription on the award touches my heart beyond measure and I hope to live up to it each day," Robin said.

Ohio, Take Action for Equal Coverage of All Anticancer Treatments

We need your help to make Ohio the 33rd state plus the District of Columbia to pass an anticancer treatment equal access law. After many years of hard work, SB 99, the Ohio Cancer Treatment Modernization Act, is just a few steps away from becoming law. The bill is expected to be voted on in the House Health and Aging Committee on Wednesday, May 21st. Once it is reported out of committee, the full House will take it up for a vote. If you live in Ohio, please take this final opportunity to ask your Ohio state representative to help Ohio patients get affordable access to all forms of cancer treatment. CLICK HERE TO TAKE ACTION
