IMF's Research Programs Featured in New Video Presentation at Medical Conference in Japan
The IMF's research arm, the International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG), occupied center stage this week at the 2013 International Myeloma Workshop in Kyoto, Japan. Susie Novis, IMF President and Co-Founder, introduced the audience of myeloma doctors from around the world to the broad reach and accomplishments of the IMF's research programs. FDA Fast Tracks Daratumumab for Double Refractory Myeloma
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has fast tracked the human CD38 monoclonal antibody daratumumab for multiple myeloma patients who were treated with three previous therapy lines, such as a proteasome inhibitor (PI) and an immunomodulatory agent (IMiD™), or who are double refractory to a PI and an IMiD), according to an announcement by the biotechnology company Genmab.

Dr. Torben Plesner, of the Vejile Hospital in Denmark, discussed data from a Phase I/II study of daratumumab with the IMF in a video interview at the annual meeting of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) in December 2012 in Atlanta.
