You Can Help Researchers Understand Some Groups' Increased Risk of Myeloma
Although major advances have occurred in the diagnosis and treatment of myeloma in the last decade, more needs to be done. A patient survey that takes only a few minutes will help researchers determine the underlying reasons for the increased risk of myeloma in certain races and in family members, and help them understand whether the subtypes of myeloma occur more commonly in one group over the other. Your participation will help all myeloma patients. TAKE PATIENT SURVEY

Buying Through IMF's Link to Amazon.com Helps Support Myeloma Research, Education
Tom Courbat, Co-Founder of the Inland Empire Multiple Myeloma Support Group in Riverside, California, suggests we remind readers that when they purchase items on Amazon.com using the IMF link to the Amazon.com website, amazon.myeloma.org, they help fund myeloma research and education. As one IMF donor puts it: "I buy everything from refrigerator filters to televisions to garage storage on Amazon.com. And I go through the IMF link. So we get a percentage of everything I spend." Music to our ears! BOOKMARK THE IMF LINK TO AMAZON
Lisa Bence is celebrating her late mother Glenda Margaret Bence at an afternoon tea in her memory on March 2nd in Durham, NC. Inspired by her mom, who Lisa says "was always volunteering her time to give back," Lisa's goal is to raise myeloma awareness and help fund IMF research leading to a cure. Please contact Suzanne Battaglia at sbattaglia@myeloma.org for help in organizing an event or campaign of your own!
