Dr. Matsui has been pursuing this line of research for some time. It is nice to see it getting more attention at this ASH meeting and also nice to see Dr. Tricot picking up the ball as well.

There is clearly a lot of further investigation to be done here. However, as a patient, I find this to be a very intriguing line of research as it could identify a target for treatments that could kill the cells that are responsible for the myeloma's initial development and relapse. I hope we will hear more about this soon.
