What's New in Myeloma Research:

Advocacy Update:
  • NOW IS THE TIME

The process to approve federal funding for cancer research funding is moving into a critical phase this month. This month the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education is expected to approve its bill. more>>

There is, however, a great deal of concern that its figures will not be as high as those approved by the Senate subcommittee. It is imperative for all advocates in the myeloma and cancer communities to make their voices heard now.

Please call and write your members of Congress to ask them to support the completion of the doubling of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) budget, the Senate Appropriations subcommittee's recommendations for the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and funding for the cancer control and prevention programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
