Have Researchers Found What Might Cause Myeloma?

Yale Cancer Center researchers published the findings from a study this week in the New England Journal of Medicine showing that chronic stimulation of the immune system by lipids made in the context of inflammation underlies the origins of some myeloma cases. “Although this is interesting and illustrative, it is not identifying what causes myeloma overall,” writes IMF Chairman Dr. Brian Durie in his blog this week.
