Dear Friends of the IMF:
The International Myeloma Foundation has launched a nationwide effort to support the establishment of a Multiple Myeloma Awareness Stamp by the U.S. Postal Service.
Your help is needed. Please join us in a letter writing campaign to support the approval of a multiple myeloma stamp. Such a stamp would join others that have raised awareness of breast and prostate cancer, diabetes, organ donation and hospice care.
Each year, the Citizen's Stamp Advisory Committee (CSAC) reviews the stamp subjects that are submitted by the public. Thousands of suggestions are submitted. The CSAC only considers "events and themes of widespread national appeal and significance." We at the IMF feel strongly that the issue of multiple myeloma is of widespread national appeal and significance and we need your help to successfully inform and educate the Advisory Committee.
By writing a simple letter, you can help the myeloma community move one step closer toward the creation of a Multiple Myeloma Awareness Stamp. Anyone can participate - patients, caregivers, family members and even friends of patients. In working together, we can show the Advisory Committee that multiple myeloma is, without a doubt, an issue of widespread national significance and deserves to be recognized via a U.S. postal stamp.
Please act today! Send your letter in support of a Multiple Myeloma Awareness Stamp to:
