IMF Awards New Myeloma Research Grants for 2013
Nine new Brian D. Novis Research Grants were awarded during last month's American Society of Hematology (ASH) conference in Atlanta. The IMF has been awarding the grants since 1994 with the goal of attracting talented medical investigators to the field of myeloma research. Nearly $5 million has been awarded to date, with many of the grants leading to notable advances in the treatment of multiple myeloma. The new grants help to ensure continued innovation in myeloma research for future generations. Click here for a list of the latest award winners and their projects.

Highlights from Annual Hematological Conference
The American Society of Hematology (ASH) 2012 meeting brought its usual bounty of more than 700 myeloma-related presentations, posters and publications. The studies presented at ASH reflected a deepening knowledge of drugs used in the treatment of myeloma and other cancers and of new insights into the molecules and antibodies that hold promise for future treatments. They also demonstrated a growing ability to test, image, identify, monitor and treat myeloma, and an increased understanding of its biology. The IMF's 10 Steps to Better Care™ is an excellent framework for highlighting this year's most important take‐aways. READ MORE
