Team Goes to Bat for Coach's Brother and the IMF

The Royals, a Little League baseball team in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, decided to give their coach a different type of gift this year to show their appreciation for his true dedication.

Jacob Farkas, a player on the Royals, and his mother Julie discovered that coach Mitch Horwitz's brother was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. The team decided to make a generous donation to the International Myeloma Foundation to show their support for Mitch and his family in this difficult time. The Buffalo Grove local newspaper heard about what the young boys were doing and wrote a story encouraging others to follow their amazing example.

The IMF cannot thank the Royals enough, not only for their donation but for setting such a great example for other teams to follow.
